Experienced APS Recruitment Officer wanted for 3 months contract. ASAP start. Security Clearance Required

Your new company
Our client is an APS agency currently seeking an experienced APS5 HR/Recruitment Officer with competent knowledge of the operational APS recruitment processes.

Your new role
Reporting to the Senior HR Advisor, you will be required to prepare and upload advertisement on job boards and shortlist candidates based on the client requirements. This interesting role will see you assist with the on-boarding of staff and providing generalist HR support. An additional component of this role will see you providing advice to management and staff in relation to employee relations. As an APS5 Recruitment Officer, your role will require you to:

  • undertake general recruitment activities
  • provide advice on recruitment policy and procedures
  • collect, analyse and report on recruitment data
  • undertake other people management related project work

What you'll need to succeed
Your attention to detail and well-developed interpersonal skills will be paramount to your success within the role. You will exhibit professionalism and discretion beyond reproach, with strong verbal and written communication skills and literacy in Word, Excel and Powerpoint. You will have previous experience working in a recruitment centric role preferably the APS agency.

Further, you will be required to demonstrate the following:

  • Knowledge of Acendre eRecruit, HR legislation, APS selection and recruitment requirements
  • A focus on quality client service
  • Good interpersonal skills, including as a good team member
  • Integrity, tact, professionalism, sound judgement, accuracy and an ability to work under pressure.

To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian citizen and will possess or be willing to go through the process to obtain and maintain a (NV1, NV2 or Baseline) personnel security clearance.
