Manage HR and Payroll Projects. A rare opportunity to secure a 15-months' contract in a dedicated HR team.

Your new company

Our client is a small cultural organization that promotes learning and cultural development. This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced HR Generalist with expertise across HR, employee relations, pay and conditions to secure a long-term (15 months + extensions) role at a competitive hourly rate.


Your new role

As a Senior HR Advisor you will be responsible for the management and day-to-day HR operations including recruitment, workforce reporting, WHS, conditions of service and compensation and payroll administration. Your role will see you contributing towards the planning and implementation of HR policies as well as provision of well-rounded advice and guidance to internal stakeholders. As an experienced team leader, you will also be involved in driving and project managing payroll function's transition to a shared services environment.

What you'll need to succeed

The role will require you to demonstrate experience in public sector payroll and conditions administration and a competent understanding of taxation and superannuation requirements as well as strong knowledge of WHS obligations. You will be required to demonstrate the following experience:

  • Leadership and Team Management Experience
  • Development and implementation of HR Strategies and Policies
  • Delivery and strategic management of HR Projects
  • Payroll (SAP) Administration via a shared services arrangement
  • Provision of HR Advice and APS Recruitment Administration
  • HR Reporting, Metrics and Calculations of Workforce Data
  • Administration of and Calculations of SES Remuneration
  • A high degree of cultural awareness and sensitivity
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Strong written and communications skills
  • Previous experience of payroll function transition to a shared service arrangement is highly desirable
