ActewAGL’s People & Safety Division is seeking a highly motivated and accomplished individual to join our Health, Safety and Work Practices team (HS & WP) as a Data & Reporting Analyst. The successful individual will be responsible for providing safety performance monitoring, reporting and analysis services to Evoenergy and ActewAGL.

About the Role
Working with the Head HS&WP, this position will deliver a range of business support functions including data cleansing, data management, data analysis and extraction, management reporting, dashboard development and reporting, SQL scripting, variance analysis and trending.

Additionally, you will be responsible to monitor the health and safety management system (Cintellate) in real time including correct registration and logging of incidents and actions; providing advice, coaching and mentoring to system users (including in relation to conducting root cause analysis, documenting findings and preparing reports); investigation timeframes; and corrective actions.

Your Key responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and accurate health and safety data management, analysis and reporting to improve knowledge sharing and promote an understanding of safety performance to all levels of our organisation.
  • Influence an improved standard of data accuracy within ActewAGL and Evoenergy to improve HS&WP business operational reporting.
  • Engage key stakeholders and build strong relationships across ActewAGL and Evoenergy, develop and implement improvements to our health and safety management system (Cintellate).
  • Define, develop and maintain a reporting framework for HS&WP to facilitate the effective and timely definition of year to date, the rolling of 12 and 24 month reporting to the business.
  • Mentor the Health and Safety Graduate on rotation and teach data analysis on the Cintellate system.
  • Co-ordinate with the safety management team the progress and closure of health and safety incidents and near misses, investigations and actions and process improvements in Guardian.
  • Identify system and process improvement opportunities, provide recommendations and implement approved changes.
  • Monitor project and program expenditure for the HS&WP Business Plans.
  • Analyse and report on current and historical data HS&WP reporting.
  • Promote a strong commitment to a quality culture, implementing standards of excellence and a continuous improvement business focus.

Well, if you are equipped with:

  • Qualifications in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Accounting, Project Management, Analytics, OHS, Human Resources or other relevant qualification and/or relevant experience.
  • Sound knowledge and experience in the utilisation of computers, associated software packages and relational databases, specialising in business reporting, analysis and trending.
  • Deep understanding of Cintellate EH&S Software is desirable
  • Demonstrable experience in conducting safety incidents Investigations and standard methodology investigations methodology
  • Experience in providing dashboard and organisational performance reports.
  • Experience in establishing and improving business processes and standards.
  • Experience in liaising with various business units and partners to enable streamlining data reporting.
