Are you looking to work for a meaningful leading organisation that has high impact welfare and social services across a number of areas within Australia?

Our client prides themselves on having already progressive, modern and leading Diversity and Inclusion frameworks and results. They are now looking to add further sophistication and impact from an experienced Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Consultant to embed additional initiatives to heighten their success in some additional key D&I functional areas. The culture and executive team are on board by seriously embracing and investing in D&I values. 

This position reports to GM of Organisational Development and is based in our client's Head Office in Sydney's CBD. It's a 12 month Fixed Term Contract with a view to extension or permanency. This role could be full time or be offered with flexibility, such as 4 days per week. 

This is a newly created Diversity and Inclusion Consultant position will design and execute creative ways using your vision and deep expertise to drive their innovative Diversity & Inclusion function and strategy. 
More specifically you will:   
  • Develop Diversity strategy across all levels of the company;
  • Provide strategic direction and partnership with key stakeholders throughout the company;
  • Establish metrics for measuring the effectiveness of diversity initiatives and events and report to Senior Leadership on progress; 
  • Serve as internal and external community liaison to develop partnerships and to promote diversity and inclusion; 
  • Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with external organisations that align with our Diversity goals; 
  • Remain current with EEO and other related laws, regulations and policies; 
  • Manage internal and external communications in regards to Diversity and Inclusion initiatives. 
 To be considered for this role you will: 
  • Experience with executing diversity and inclusion programs in large complex businesses; 
  • Demonstrate experience in the delivery of diversity initiatives and programs
  • A strong understanding of best practices for community and cultural engagement
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills; 
  • Excellent written and communication skills; 
  • Expertise in data and analytics to inform decisions and influence change
  • Have a relevant degree and extensive experience, with a particular emphasis in equity and diversity.
