Employee Relations Specialist - Contract

In this immediately available contract role you will be a dedicated Employee Relations Advisor working with a generalist HR team and directly with General Managers. Based in the heart of the CBD and reporting to the HR General Manager you will be responsible for a caseload of employee relations issues including bulling, harassment and injury management.

In this role you will;

  • Provide an advisory service to managers and HR Business Partners on fair treatment processes including grievance, disciplinary and performance effectiveness
  • Conduct formal investigations, advise and coach line managers to deal with employee relations matters with confidence and in compliance with requirements
  • Provide interpretation and advice to Managers on a range of industrial instruments including the organisations Enterprise Agreement, relevant award, Fair Work Act, Policies and Procedures.
  • Undertake grievance, disciplinary and performance inquiries and investigations


To be successful in this role you will have;

  • Proven experience in manage a caseload of ER issues efficiently and within a timely manner
  • Demonstrated Advanced knowledge, understanding and previously application of employment legislation and industrial instruments including Awards and Enterprise Agreements
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including effective conflict resolution skills and the ability to build trusting partnerships quickly
  • A flexible, pragmatic approach with the ability to review complex situations
  • Clear, concise, impactful written and verbal communication skills.
  • Degree in a relevant discipline such as human resources, industrial relations or equivalent experience
