Our client is a leading multi-national organisation who manufacture and distribute industrial supplies. They are now looking for an on-site HR Advisor in Sydney's Western Sydney (M4/M7 juncture) for an initial 2-3 month period, while our client recruits the permanent position. The successful contractor can also apply for the permanent position if interested. Immediate start for the right candidate. 

Reporting directly to the HR Manager the key responsibilities of the role will include but not limited to:
  • Coaching, advising and supporting business leaders with employee performance issues and solutions
  • Ensuring Group HR procedures, practices and initiatives are implemented
  • Investigating and managing complaints in line with company policy and relevant legislation
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of specific projects to support the achievement of business strategy
  • Assist with the end-to-end recruitment process
  • Coordination of the annual performance review process
  • Updating of HR policies and procedures to ensure they comply with current legislation
  • Supporting organisational change by delivering a positive and consistent message
To be successful in this role you will have:
  • Experience as a Senior HR Coordinator, HR Officer, HR Advisor or in any relevant HR generalist human resources role, preferably in industries that employ a mix of blue and white-collar workers; 
  • An in-depth knowledge of modern awards and their interpretation; 
  • Proven ability to support, train and mentor colleagues at all levels of the organisation; 
  • High level of confidentiality and integrity;
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching, advising and providing sound proactive solutions on a broad range of employee relations matters; 
  • A high level of self-motivation, organisational ability and a can-do attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills enabling the ability to interact and influence at all levels of the business; 
  • Exceptional time management skills, ability to work under pressure and to deadlines;
  • Experience with reporting using Workday (or similar HRIS) would be highly advantageous;  
  • Ideally, tertiary qualifications in Human Resources (or related)
