The Opportunity
The HR Advisor will provide first level advice to our management and employees across Victoria in all areas of Human Resources particularly around Employment Relation (ER), Recruitment and Workplace Health and Safety matters (WHS). As a first point of contact, you will be working closely with key stakeholders to develop and maintain on-going relationships while offering high-level support and excellent customer service.

Reporting to the General Manager – People, Culture and Safety, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Being the first point of contact to provide efficient and responsive advice to managers around all ER & WHS matters in Victoria
  • Assist Managers in completing risk assessments, Site safety plans and incident investigations
  • Monitor work methods of site workers and conduct site inspections
  • Provide advice around all Employee Relations/ Industrial Relations matters
  • Coordinate recruitment and selection activities
  • Assist with developing, conducting and facilitating training needs for all staff
  • Lead by example by encouraging staff, colleagues and team to embrace service excellence while guiding and supporting others to help meet set objectives
  • Build a high performing culture by fostering customer service excellence, diversity and efficient operations
  • Salary Circa $80K to $95K base
  • Motor Vehicle Allowance of $19k
  • Company provided phone, laptop and i-pad
Skills and Expertise
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in HRM
  • Certificate IV in OHS or Post Graduate OHS will be highly regarded
  • Construction/building industry knowledge will be highly regarded
  • Comprehension of Awards & EBA's
  • Knowledge and understanding of National Employment Relations Framework
  • Experience in interpreting or advising on the Fair Work Act or modern awards
