Federal Government/HR Analyst/Contract Role/Gold Coast

You will be joining a large federal government department who has multiple sites based across Australia. With a focus on community and working with all Australians, they are well recognised for their work.

Your new role

As the HR Business Analyst, you will use workforce analytics to research and investigate workforce and assess and analyse workforce data to identify patterns and trends and assist in the production of high level executive reporting. Your key duties will include:

  • Manage analytical research projects, including determining the causes and remedies for the department's workforce and people issues
  • Research and investigate workforce and people issues using workforce analytics to provide insight and evidence
  • Analyse and assess workforce data and identify patterns and trends to inform executive decision making Prepare a range of written material including reports and briefs
  • Develop and implement improvements and best practice in processes and procedures
  • Undertake high level reporting and contribute to the provision of data for ad hoc and regular reporting
  • Manage and support staff, including managing performance, quality, attendance and workflow, and setting work priorities
  • Coach and mentor team members to enable knowledge sharing

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role you will have skills and experience across the following:

  • Experience in SAP and HR Reporting
  • Proficient in SAQL, SAS Programming or B Basic
  • Analyse and manipulate business data via SAS Enterprise Guide (Statistical Analysis System)
  • Lead the development of the Business Support reporting products and tools
  • Provide assistance, advice and support within the division for the most effective use of resources
  • Perform specialist research and analysis including coordination of accurate and informative documentation such as reports and briefs
  • Develop, support and maintain stakeholders relationships to support work area's priorities and goals
  • Engage with stakeholders, managers and staff to ensure quality assurance processes are in place
  • Previous experience in Human Resources and or Workforce Analytics
