We are currently seeking a HR Consultant to join our People & Culture Team based from our Head Office in the Brisbane CBD.  

The HR Consultant will initially work within our Health Services portfolio, and work alongside the HR Business partner, Head of Business Partnering and broader Senior Leadership Team within People &Culture to support business leaders with workforce requirements, insights and initiatives.

Core accountabilities include:

  • Provide business context and perspective during design and implementation of processes for both business and HR initiatives
  • Coach and provide guidance to senior leaders on strategic workforce planning, succession planning, restructures etc.
  • Support the HR Business Partner and Head of Business Partnering
  • Support senior leaders to deliver business improvement and change initiatives where people management is crucial to success
  • Coach Senior Leaders on optimal people practices to maximise workforce engagement, productivity and performance
  • Support the management of complex HR matters that have been escalated/referred by People Advisory
  • Analyse reports, workforce data and trends and coach senior leaders on taking proactive actions


The successful applicant will ideally present with the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR or a relevant field
  • Significant previous experience in a similar role, providing strategic and tactical advice to senior leaders
  • Previous experience implementing HR initiates and programs
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modelling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strategic thinking skills
  • Understanding of end-to-end core HR processes
  • Ability to provide guidance and expert advice to employees and leaders on technical or process-related people matters
