About the Role

This role is critical to the success of the operations of the organisation.  It requires a savvy senior HR Executive with a strategic mindset. The right individual will have a highly developed and demonstrated consultative, interpersonal and communications skillset.  The role requires the expertise of a highly experienced HR Generalist who can look at the “big picture” but is also comfortable working at the operational level supporting the team on the day-to-day issues and leading major initiatives in areas such as employee relations, recruitment & retention, performance, workforce development and diversity and inclusion. Reporting to the Head of P&C, this role manages a significant team that will require a seasoned executive with the capability to build and develop HR BP’s as well as specialist professionals in developing a positive and proactive HR function. Significant capability will also be required in the area of complex change management requiring resilience, persistence, patience and commitment.
About You

We are looking for an influential HR leader including who demonstrates the following;
  • Confidence and experience to work with workforce stakeholders with an open, positive and engaging approach developed working in large and complex service sector environments;
  • A track record of delivering pragmatic, business focused HR solutions and managing teams to do this;
  • The ability to work closely with senior business leaders and drive and influence the people agenda;
  • Technical strength in all the core HR streams of work including IR/ER;
  • Strong coaching and mentoring capability;
  • A strong level of creativity and innovation, combined with a healthy dose of pragmatism; and
  • An  inquisitive nature that will enable the individual to quickly come up to speed on the complex sector demands and nuisances.
