Permanent HR Manager job within the manufacturing industry - lead the Human Resources function!

Your new company
Our client is an ASX listed corporation and a leader in the manufacturing industry, focusing on providing specialist products and solutions to a variety of sectors. The organisation has a strong presence across Australia and is a market leader for its manufacturer and products and innovative design, manufacturing and installation services. Due to a recent vacancy, they require a HR Manager on a permanent basis to lead the Human Resources function.

Your new role
Reporting to the General Manager, the HR Manager is responsible for guiding and managing the overall provision of Human Resources Services, Policies and Programs. You will drive and deliver on both strategic and operational initiatives across the business. This is a TRUE generalist role as you will lead and manage employee life-cycle activities, complex employee relations and industrial relations, workforce planning, talent acquisition and strategic organisational development. You will manage 1 HR Administrator and drive a high performance culture across the business. Your role will also have support from corporate HR but report directly to the General Manager and you will be a key member of a growing organisation. The role will require travel to sites and interstate where appropriate.

What you'll need to succeed
You must be an experienced Human Resources Manager/ Business Partner with at least five years' expertise in a similar role. You will be a strong and determined professional who gets buy-in from key stakeholders across the organisation. You will have demonstrated management experience, together with being a proactive professional who enjoys getting out of the office and building trust and rapport with all stakeholders. You will have an impeccable understanding of workplace legislation and industrial/employee relations. You will have demonstrated experience with unions and negotiations for enterprise agreements. You will be a practitioner who can focus on the strategic side of HR and the development of the organisation through innovative practices. Experience in the manufacturing industry is highly desirable!
