HR Manager 12 month Contract for global pharmaceutical business in Sydney

Your new company
Global pharmaceutical organisation with a highly successful entry into the Australian market. Working at the Sydney Head Office, working in a collaborative and family feel smaller business environment whilst being part of a significant global organisation with offices in APAC, EMEA, and US.

Your new role
This is a 12 month contract role to cover maternity, working closely with a high performing workforce of approximately 70 employees. You will be responsible for all BAU activities as well as be involved in the implementation and delivery of a number of more strategic and global HR projects. Responsibilities will include talent attraction, onboarding, talent management and succession planning; performance management; coaching of leaders; employee engagement and cultural programs; remuneration reviews; HR reporting and WH&S. In addition project work may include programs focusing on employee engagement, leadership development, process improvement, Employer of Choice and the implementation of a new HRIS. This is a very hands on position working at the coal face of the business and being visible at all times. You will also be involved in working closely with Global HR in APAC and have the opportunity to travel overseas and work with a regional HR team.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced HR Manager who has worked in a small business environment and enjoy working in a SME culture. There will be exposure to APAC HR and global HR however essential this role is Australia focused partnering with a small but very challenging workforce in Sydney so the ideal candidate will be hands on and enjoy operational HR work as well as project based challenges. In addition as this is a maternity contract you will have experienced of WHS, and experience of implementing a new HRIS systems ( Taleo or Pageup preferred). Knowledge of the pharmaceutical, medical devices or healthcare industry would be preferred but is not essential.
