HR Manager with an operational focus. Working in Sydney's southern suburbs for successful SME business.

Southern Sydney based Australian SME with a workforce of 70 employees based in Australia and APAC

Your new role
Working closely with the leadership team, you will manage the HR function for the business, supporting a diverse range of white collar employees based at multiple sites across the country. You will be responsible for the full employee life cycle from the recruitment and onboarding of new employees through to talent management, training and advising on employee relations. You will coach managers through performance management, HR processes and any new culture activities and programs. You will ensure all HR processes and compliance is adhered to, reporting on HR metrics, payroll and manage WHS and RTW. You will drive culture and engagement, administering the annual employee engagement survey, create new reward & recognition initiatives and be a pivotal team player in staff retention and development. Essentially this role is BAU focused and will be an operational support management position however there will be the opportunity to advise on change management, restructuring and support the leadership team through further growth and expansion.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced HR Manager who has a mixed skillset of both operational and strategic HR. You will enjoy operational hands on HR work, being at the coalface of a business and contributing to commercial outcomes and activities. As this is a small company, you will ideally be experienced in working in SME cultures and enjoy working in autonomous roles.
