HR Manager - Retail

The opportunity:

Due to growth and a new team structure, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and versatile HR Manager to join the HR team at The PAS Group.

Reporting to the Group HR Manager and working with the in-business Heads of Retail, the role will focus on supporting our retail teams across the Review and Black Pepper businesses. Leading a small team, this is a hands-on, broad, senior HR business partnering role requiring you to focus on both operational and strategic HR projects; initiate, establish and drive change; develop flexible HR programs, champion culture and engagement initiatives, and coach & develop business leaders across the entire employee life cycle.
Key responsibilities will include:
  • Partnering with the retail business leaders to develop a broad range of HR initiatives to drive engagement, shape our culture and develop our people
  • HR generalist advice & guidance across the entire employee life cycle
  • Development of HR tools, programs and frameworks
  • Talent management & Succession planning initiatives
  • Oversee Employee Safety and Well-being management for your client group
  • Developing and coach two HR Advisors
  • Partnering with the wider group HR team on value adding projects
  • Some travel required, on an ad hoc basis, across Australia and NZ 
About You
  • Strong, in-depth generalist HR experience and knowledge across the entire employee lifecycle, preferably gained in retail, hospitality or similar
  • Passionate about people and progressive HR practices
  • Several years' experience as an HR Manager and leader, working as part of a leadership team
  • Proven experience providing HR support to a geographically dispersed workforce
  • An ability to coach and drive leadership capability through different levels of management
  • Ability to influence & manage multiple stakeholders; Strong at building relationships; Excellent interpersonal skills & a confident communicator;
  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering value adding people initiatives, programs and frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of current employment legislation and an ability to advise on a broad range of ER/IR issues & WHS
  • Flexible, adaptable and resilient
  • Results oriented; Can-do attitude; High energy; Tenacious
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or equivalent
  • System savvy & proficient in Excel/Word/PowerPoint and recruitment management systems
