HR Partner Job - Sydney CBD -- Finance Industry - 12 Month Contract

This well-established leader in the finance industry is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Business Partner, to join the growing People & Culture team. A fantastic opportunity in a professional environment based in Sydney CBD.

Your new role
Reporting to the Head of Talent, you will play a key role in partnering with leadership to provide advice and strategic support. You will offer advisory and strategic support in order to attract, develop and retain top talent. Working at the operational and strategic level, you will be responsible for all things people within your client group. This includes talent acquisition, resource planning both internal and external, capability growth, building a high performance culture through performance management and succession planning. In addition you will be responsible for:

  • Elevate awareness, support and engagement of key strategic Talent and broader People & Culture initiatives, programs and projects
  • Guide leaders through change initiatives, particularly in relation to talent management strategies including recruitment, performance, reward, career paths, inclusion & diversity, resource planning and retention.
  • Identifying and hiring the right talent to support the business strategy
  • Building internal talent pools and enabling career mobility for our employees
  • Collaborate with the Executive Management and other key stakeholders to create people and culture solutions for their teams
  • Develop a strong profile, network and relationships across each business unit and the broader organisation to become a trusted business advisor



What you'll need to succeed
You will be a HR business partner with a number of years' experience providing guidance and advice at senior levels teamed with experience managing end to end recruitment. To be successful you must have the flexibility to respond to changing priorities and a hands-on approach within an ever changing business environment. You will have a demonstrated ability to sensitively manage talent and performance related discussions and possess a tertiary qualification in HR or related discipline. You will be a strong relationship builder, influencer and coach and have solid commercial acumen. Along with a passion for talent, the ideal candidate will be proactive, forward thinking and empowered to identify continuous improvement areas and implement business improvement strategies. Experience in a financial services organisation or professional services although not essential would be highly regarded.
