L&D Specialist - Contract

Our client is a reputable and growing corporate services organisation with their offices within the heart of Sydney's CBD. This is initially a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. Immediate start for the right candidate, or providing notice is also OK. Fantastic career step for an ambitious L&D Specialist who enjoys delivery and facilitation. 

Due to investment within new systems and the commitment our client has to raising the capability of all staff across all levels of organisation, there now exists a L&D Specialist position to work across the Sydney office and facilitate business-focused, job-related and system training courses and programs. You will be executing, delivering and launching set modules and programs of work to all staff, including executive level. The core aspect of your role will be to partner with the entire office and deliver effective training and development courses and programs, assessment and evaluation tools, and metrics. 

This role will also see you align priorities with enterprise training commitments and business priorities; participates on development and training initiatives, as requested. Keeps apprised of role-based curriculum changes and ensures course content is current. You will also maintains effective Learning Management System (LMS) administration and manages training resources (e.g. rooms, supplies, rosters, etc.). Tracks and reports results. Keeps timely and accurate training calendars, records and correspondence. You will also administer evaluations and assessments, provides follow up support to participants, and provides recommendations for learning reinforcement. Other ad hoc projects, and consulting with managers and Subject Matter Experts will also be required. 

To be successful for this role you will have: 
  • Experience in training delivery experience within a corporate environment; 
  • Experience implementing learning and development strategies and programs; 
  • Strong writing skills; can cohesively present and organise information; effectively articulates messages; 
  • System savvy; 
  • Proactive with setting timelines and identifying opportunities; self-motivated - drives for results; highly accountable, meets deadlines; understands how to mobilize partners and resources;
  • Proven ability to interact effectively with diverse learners, including influencing senior leaders;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the training profession; 
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications; 
  • Degree qualifications will be highly regarded.
