As one of the most respected Aged Care providers in Australia, your new organisation employs circa 1200 people across 4 locations and its HomeCare arm. This organisation is a leader in their industry with a reputation built on their expert services. 

About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager People Culture & Learning,  this role is to lead the Learning & Development function, end to end, with a focus establishing effective capability frameworks and blended learning packages for a diverse workforce of approx. 1200 across multiple sites.
Responsibilities include:
  • Scope and design a variety of fit-for-purpose blended learning solutions
  • Managing and coaching a small team
  • Provide advice on learning design, implementation and evaluation including reporting back to key stakeholders on the success of various learning initiatives
  • Content development & design of induction process
  • Facilitation of some key components of training
  • Beyond induction program, developing the ongoing training plan and key milestones for our employees aligned to career pathways
This role will help people leaders to develop more empowered teams that are aligned with the needs of the brand's strategy.

The successful candidate will have a "go to", flexible approach. Although relatively small, the wider team are all very supportive, friendly and respectful of each other. It is very important the L&D manager fits right in and is happy to offer an "open door" policy.
This is a perfect opportunity for someone wanting to move into a role where they are accountable for driving and executing the learning and development framework.

About You
To be considered for this role you will need a minimum of 5 years'  L&D experience ideally working in a multi-site environment. You will have demonstrated capability in rolling out L&D projects from inception to delivery, establishing and maintaining effective relationships with both internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse skills and environment to design L&D initiatives and drive their implementation
  • Experience in on-line learning, content development for online delivery and LMS management
  • Strong L&D systems and process development background
  • Commercially astute with strong conceptual skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence
  • Proven ability effectively leading a small team
  • A tertiary qualification in an appropriate discipline. This may include a Bachelor degree in a health-related area such as nursing, physiotherapy or occupational therapy
