The Company

Technicolor Academy supports the L & D initiatives for Technicolor’s VFX Studios including MPC Film, Mr.X, Mikros and Mill Film around the world. With this significant growth Technicolor is due to open Mill Film operations in Adelaide, South Australia. This role is a new exciting opportunity for someone to develop, grow and implement Learning and Development strategies from the ground up and make this role your own whilst overseeing the growth and development of your L&D team of 4.

The Role

This role is a fulltime permanent position as Academy Manager reporting to the Global Head of Learning & Development, undertaking the following activities and key responsibilities for the Mill Film Adelaide:

  • Support the delivery of the Global L&D Strategy
  • Ensuring consistency and quality remains high, whilst delivering an excellent learner experience.
  • Manage the end to end recruitment process for students into the Creative Academies
  • Develop and deliver a strategy to support our Creative Academies growth
  • Reviewing employee skillsets to match business requirements
  • Talent Development and Reviews of L&D team
  • Develop and Maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders on a national and global level including local, regional and national universities and colleges
  • Keep up to date with VFX, learning information & trends to ensure continuous improvement and relevant design/delivery of learning solutions.

What we are looking for

  • Passionate about Learning and Development.
  • 5+ years’ experience managing Learning within a creative industry.
  • Desirable: HR/Talent/L&D qualifications.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Previous experience in managing a small team.
  • Experience in developing, managing and reviewing and drafting structure workshop programs
  • Ability to build key relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience with designing and managing onboarding cycle.
  • Motivated self-starter with strong communication skills
