The Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Payroll superstar to join our newly formed HR services team and to seamlessly fit into the hardworking and fun culture that is currently embraced.

As the Payroll Advisor, you will provide end to end full function payroll services using Chris21 and Kronos for 800+ employees. You will play an integral part of streamlining processes and improving inefficiencies where necessary. We are looking for a candidate that stands out and wants to go above and beyond their duties to prove their current capability, which they can further build around and grow within the business.  Your payroll experience, customer focus, and passion for process improvement will see you succeed in this role.

The payroll team sits within the HR Services team which is part of the People Services and Systems center of excellence within People and Capability.  This provides you with exposure to using modern HR technology, being involved in working groups for broader HR projects with innovative and future focused initiatives.

The role will report to Roni Azzopardi, our HR Services Manager, who has a strong background in payroll and leads a highly collaborative team who share common visions and goals, and challenge and support each other to achieve outstanding results.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Competent skills in end to end payroll processing, preparation and data entry.
  • Understanding of Australian payroll legislation i.e. NES, taxation and superannuation.
  • Competent numeracy skills, with the ability to understand routine formulas and calculate payroll matters such as overtime and remuneration package/contract details.
  • Solutions focused, with an ability to identify and improve process and system inefficiencies.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of payroll and personnel matters.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills

Your ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders is required.
