We are offering an exceptional opportunity for a proven payroll professional to manage our global payroll requirements.

About the opportunity

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will work closely with the Finance and People & Culture teams to deliver payroll services in a complex international business environment. You will thrive on problem solving, data analysis and have a demonstrated track record in creating and managing controlled, effective and efficient processes.

Primary responsibilities include: 

  • managing all payroll obligations for the company including:
    • monthly and fortnightly payroll
    • leave transactions
    • superannuation processing and management
    • taxation
  • liaising with international payroll providers to ensure our internationally based employees are paid in a timely and accurate manner
  • entering and processing journals in our financial system
  • providing regular reporting, health checks and compliance with relevant jurisdictional legislative requirements

This is a full-time position based in our modern office in Fyshwick.

About You

You are a natural critical thinker and problem solver with the capacity to consult extensively with a range of stakeholders. You have an excellent understanding of the Australian legislative framework in relation to payroll with the ability to research and grasp new concepts quickly.

You will have: 

  • proven experience managing payroll in a complex organisation
  • knowledge of legislative requirements including PAYG, FBT and payroll tax etc.
  • a Diploma of Payroll Management and/or Certificate IV in Payroll Administration
  • the demonstrated ability to work autonomously
  • a high level of data fluency and attention to detail
  • well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
