Leading charitable organisation in Sydney's Inner West require an expert in HR policy, 2-month project role.

Your new company
You will be joining a progressive and empathetic Charity that assists thousands of dis-advantaged Australians across Australia on a daily basis to access clothing, healthcare, education and homelessness support. You will be working from the head office in Sydney's Inner West, supporting the Policy team on a 2-month contract basis. You will be available to interview and commence the role immediately.

Your new role
You will be working among-st a close-knit team to review and update existing People and Culture policies. Your duties will include, but will not be limited to the following:

  • Identify gaps/overlaps within existing People and Culture policies
  • Draft employee focused policies that are positive, inclusive and action-orientated
  • Consult with key stakeholders to gain feedback on existing policies and facilitate discussion
  • Draft discussion papers and other related documents for review by relevant departments
  • Provide advice, insight and sector knowledge and drive practical improvements to current policies

What you'll need to succeed

  • You will have consolidated work experience as a HR Generalist or HR Adviser
  • You will be confident in your ability to write HR policy, with a strong commitment to legislative compliance
  • You will be team-orientated, collaborative and able to articulate your insights to key stakeholders
  • You will be strongly aligned to the values of empathy and compassion
  • Experience working in a similar role with a Not-for-Profit organisation will be highly valued

Successful candidates will require a Working with Children Clearance and a Criminal Record Check prior to commencing the role
