Project Officer Job with this major NSW Government Agency, supporting projects within People and Culture

Your new company
Our client, a leading Government agency, is undergoing a number of non IT initiatives within the People and Culture Team. This role will support the Executive Officer of P&C.

Your new role
The main responsibilities in this role will be;

  • Coordinate all project deliverable
  • Undertake research and analysis to support development of key projects and improvement of processes
  • Create and monitor project plans
  • Coordinate project resource
  • Monitor budget
  • Ensure successful milestones are met
  • Produce a range of written documentation to be presented to key stakeholders with a view to managing the flow of information and communication with regards to project developments
  • Be proactive in developing relationships both with team members and external stakeholders
  • Be willing to do both the high level project work as well as assist with basic administrative work

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will have previously worked within non IT projects, ideally within Government. You will have demonstrated experience in;

  • Fast paced and complex settings, ideally within Government
  • Supporting Project Managers in project coordination across whole organisation initiatives
  • Program administration and support
  • Have an understanding and ideally experience in change management
  • High scribe and facilitation skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • High problem solving skills
  • High analytical skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Financial experience managing invoicing and PO's
  • Be skilled and experienced in using various software programs to present material, graphs, diagrams and charts
  • GOOD PowerPoint skills
  • Good Outlook skills

What you'll get in return
This is an opportunity to work with a key government agency on a 6 month contract. The role will be based in Greenacre and you must hold a current driver's license and be willing to travel.
