Recruitment Advisor - Internal - Contract

  • VPS 4 $47 to $53.63 + super per hour

Our client within the Victorian Government is looking for an experienced Recruitment Advisor. You will be responsible for managing end to end recruitment processes in a fast paced and high volume environment. This position will also manage fixed term employment contracts, coordinate employment programs and provide general support to the HR team.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Manage multiple end to end recruitment processes simultaneously including preparing position descriptions, advertising, shortlisting, conducting interviews, pre-employment checks and preparing letters of offer
  • Provide a high level of customer care to candidates throughout the recruitment process
  • Educate the business and provide timely authoritative advice to managers on a range of recruitment matters, including identifying resourcing needs, best practice recruitment methodologies, legislative requirements and ensuring recruitment polices and processes are followed
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with hiring managers and gain an understanding of their business and resourcing requirements
  • Maintain accurate recruitment documentation in accordance with record keeping requirements
  • Coordinate and monitor the on-boarding of new employees and provide advice and support to managers including preparation of new starter paperwork.

  • Flexible, can do, not precious about the type of work they do
  • Can operate in a high volume work environment
  • Can manage expectations of difficult stakeholders


To succeed in this position, you will thrive on the challenge of juggling conflicting priorities, and have a strong eye for detail. Previous experience working within a similar support role is essential. Experience within the public sector will be advantageous.
