Rehabilitation Case Manager - Contract

Our client is an independent insurance agency that currently support hundred of thousands of Australian's and strive for peace and mind for every Australian.

This role is responsible for developing and implementing integrated people policies, practices and processes in relation to the management of employee health. Rehabilitation Case Management includes the areas of Prevention, Early Intervention, Wellbeing, Compensation Case Management and HR advice.

The duties of the Rehabilitation Case Manager / Workplace Support Adviser include:

  • Provision of strategic advice on Early Intervention and Compensation related policies, procedures and injury / illness risk management
  • Be individually accountable for completion of work within timeframes
  • Provide sound advice to clients and stakeholders regarding complex and/or sensitive rehabilitation case management and WHS matters related employee and/or industrial relations issues.
  • Apply knowledge and experience to the engagement and management of an approved Comcare rehabilitation provider to deliver return to work services
  • Build and sustain relationships including communicating with stakeholders regarding workplace matters
  • Regularly modify local activities and processes affecting how work is performed in compliance with legislative and policy requirement related to HR
  • Provide training, specialist advice and support to employees and managers

The succesfuk candidate would preferbly have

Certificate IV in Government (Injury Rehabilitation Case Management) and/or rehabilitation case management in an Australian Public Service context is highly desirable. Also you must:

  • Positive contemporary attitudes to people with disability
  • Understanding and knowledge of disability and its impact on individuals
  • Strong and adaptable communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work within and across teams and adapt quickly to a changing environment
