The Role:
The primary purpose of this role is to develop, manage and deliver Remuneration and Benefits programs and solutions that add value to the organisation. The role sits on the HR Leadership Team and is required to work closely with the GM HR and senior stakeholders to ensure shared understanding and alignment of core remuneration needs and objectives.
Reporting to the General Manager, HR this role will be responsible to improve on the already existing Remuneration strategy set by the Group Remuneration team.
They are looking for a thought leader in the Remuneration space, someone who demonstrates broader-based strategic thinking, yet comfortable remaining hands on. Strong team leadership is also of interest, as this role has three direct reports and will be responsible for managing these individuals to develop their capability ultimately achieving a “work smarter” approach.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Actively contribute to the annual HR strategic planning process.
  • Lead the development of remuneration and rewards programs that contribute to a high-performance culture. Manage all aspects of the annual review process (including STI & LTI).
  • Develop the Remuneration & Benefits contribution to the HR and business strategy ensuring alignment with HR and business objectives.
  • Proactively review and enhance the remuneration and benefits operational structure – including TFC approach, job evaluation, and contribution to organisational design - to ensure market competitiveness and support business needs.
  • Identify opportunities to continually improve the business experience of the annual remuneration program.
  • Produce and manage the provision of business reporting to create meaningful insight and support new ideas and solutions.
  • Presentation of annual remuneration reporting and analysis to General Managers and business units.
  • Oversee the payroll team and management of the weekly, fortnightly and monthly payroll cycles.
Experience Required:
  • Tertiary qualification (ideally of a numerical discipline).
  • Experience in managing the full remuneration remit to include; end-to-end remuneration process, benchmarking and all employee incentive structures.
  • Developed communication skills to articulate complex analytical concepts to a variety of stakeholders and audiences with impact and credibility.
  • Effective research and proficiency in the use of excel and data extraction/manipulation for the purposes of analysing and presenting high-level reporting.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation related to Remuneration (e.g. relevant superannuation legislation, share plans and taxation).
About You:
Along with the required technical experience noted, candidates will also clearly demonstrate practical experience gained in a similar Remuneration based role. You will also be an effective and confident communicator, with strong negotiation and high-level influencing skills. Demonstrating the ability to advise, support and coach internal stakeholders on the remuneration process and translating results. You must be comfortable working in an ambiguous fast-paced environment.
