Large Government Organisation is looking for a Resources Manager for a long-term contract, Fortitude Valley.

Your new company
Large Government Organisation is looking for a Resources Manager based in Fortitude Valley, this is a long-term opportunity to progress your skills in the HR and resource management space.

Your new role
Within this role you will be responsible for the implementation of the project as well as the program resourcing and planning. Further, you will;

  • Identifying the optimum data collection approach
  • Analysis of the risks of supply and potential strategies to address
  • Development and delivery of dashboard views for executive decision-making
  • Establishing executive line of sight for future resource requirements

Developing and deploying a portfolio resource management framework, including:

  • Definition and oversight of the resource engagement principles
  • Definition and management of the resource contention process

Analyse the environment and recommend portfolio level sourcing strategies in regards:

  • The optimum resource mix and appropriate plan to manage
  • Preferred sourcing partners and agreements, and relationship management associated

Develop and implement an initial approach to portfolio capability management, including:

  • Establish the portfolio skills view, aligning capabilities to the digital portfolio
  • Analysis of the capability gap risks and potential strategies to address

Definition of the portfolio level capability principles in regards:

  • Talent identification
  • Training and development
  • Succession planning
  • Knowledge optimisation and retention
  • Contributing to senior discussions on strategies to enhance and further develop the resource management capability internally.
  • Actively support knowledge transfer and establishment of the new function by mentoring and coaching internal staff.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will have a demonstrated ability to contribute to senior and executive level discussions on resourcing and capability strategies. You will have a background in resourcing capability internally by coaching internal staff and supporting knowledge transfer. Further, you will have demonstrated experience of delivery of projects and programs of significant scale.
