Resource Manager / Senior Workforce Planner - Contract

Our client, a leading tech consulting company who provides specialist service to help organisation do business online is looking for an experienced workforce planner / resource manager.

You will be stepping into a vibrant, fast paced and collaborative environment, currently going through major growth and change. For this exciting opportunity you will be reporting into the People & Culture manager who above all else needs drive, energy & a people focused lens.

You will be responsible for efficient, customer centric resource allocation throughout the Enterprise organisation. This will result in the strategic and proactive management where the right people are in place at the right time across all customer engagements to effectively meet customer requirements and achieve business objectives. The challenge for you will be that there are 3 different business and systems so you must be able to build on what you know and develop and drive initiatives for greater efficiency.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Drive and own the Workforce Plan and Resource Management process with the imperative to proactively identify, create, document, communicate and implement process improvements.
  • Allocate resources strategically to ensure new projects and proposals have the team profiles that will lead to successful client engagements and business commercial targets are met around utilisation.
  • Build and manage effective forecasts of resource demand and workforce mix and identify key risk areas by monitoring, reviewing and reporting on resource allocation and deployment aligned to sales pipelines, project status and all other relevant data points.
  • Resolve or manage conflicts between competing projects requiring resources.

To be successful you must have:

  • 7+ year's experience in resource management and workforce planning with experience in a professional services environment working with consulting projects and within a billable hours / utilisation work environment.
  • Must have set up or grown a resource management portfolio across a business
  • Experience in driving positive utilisation and commercial focus for a business / division
  • People development and management experience preferred
