The Senior HR Advisor will work closely with the HR Manager on the development and ongoing management of people programs that reinforce our values and culture, including staff engagement, talent and succession management, performance management, as well as many other projects that you may be involved with.

The successful candidate, will also:

  • Provide timely and accurate advice on people relations matters to operational and functional support managers
  • Provide advice and interpretation on award and Enterprise Agreement matters across the business
  • Coach leaders to take responsibility for people management issues, guiding them towards effective people management practices
  • Support managers in maximising people performance including providing advice and assistance in the disciplinary process where required
  • Actively support and comply with company policies and programs, by role modelling and coaching people and managers on safe work practices where appropriate
  • Contribute to business plans and strategies when needed
  • ability to work within a fast paced environment and be a great team player

To be successful, you will require the following knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Degree qualified in HR
  • Ideally 5 + years' broad multi-discipline HR experience demonstrating strong levels of commercial understanding within a large multinational business within blue collar.
  • Extensive experience in operating as a HR partner, advisor, understanding HR policies, awards and agreements
  • Firm understanding of commercial performance indicators as well as HR metrics to inform people programs and requirements
  • Knowledge of relevant workplace relations laws
  • Knowledge across a range of HR technical areas including performance management, talent and succession management
  • Extensive experience in coaching and growing manager capability in optimising the performance of their teams
