Senior HR Advisor - Contract

  • $40 - $45/hour plus super

In this immediate start contract you will be part of HR team to assist managers and employees to achieve the goals of the organisation and encompass, working conditions, performance management, management of compensable, non-compensable and Early Intervention cases, redeployment, WHS, Values / Code of Conduct / Employment Principles, Public Interest Disclosure and Conflict resolution.

Reporting to the HR manager you will assist the team of 3 during this busy period through Christmas guaranteeing you work through to the end of January.

In this role you will;

  • Develop / maintain People Policies in relation to Working Conditions, Performance Management, WHS, Code of Conduct, Conflict Resolution, Public Interest Disclosure and Workplace Diversity.
  • Manage individual and section casework across a range of HR activities.
  • Undertake research, analysis and project work and provide high level advice to senior managers and employees.
  • Coordinate and administer initiatives and programs related to Human Resource Management.
  • Participate in tendering for services and management of contracts.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships within a geographically dispersed team, and with other agencies, organisations, staff associations and relevant professional associations.
  • Undertake administrative work as required.

To be successful in this role you will;

  • Experience in partnering with managers to provide guidance and advice on a range of HR issues including employee relations, performance issues and learning and development needs
  • Previous government experience with exposure to the education sector highly beneficial
  • Strong written skills and experience writing detailed reports ideally within a government environment
  • The ability to work with limited resources in a busy environment and demonstrated experience in operational HR projects
