Your new role

  • You will be servicing the whole organisation, providing specialist advice and interpretation services on industrial agreements and employee relations policies and procedures and practices.
  • Developing and advising on the organisation's Industrial Relations framework.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to positively influence stakeholders and resolve conflict.
  • Solution orientated mindset, with a practical and hands on approach.
  • Assisting with enterprise bargaining, advocacy and negotiations with unions and other external bodies.
  • Liaising with external contacts - Unions, Federal and State Government Bodies, Organisations, Employee Groups, Legal Advisers.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management/Employment Law (or equivalent), coupled with extensive working experience in this discipline.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of both historical and recent developments in Australian Industrial Relations.
  • You will have experience in managing disciplinary matters and grievances, performance management, conflict and change management and experience in negotiating industrial agreements and interpreting industrial legislation.
  • You will need the ability to remain impartial, possess excellent written skills and build effective relationships, influence and negotiate with a wide range of stakeholders.
