Our client, a national company renowned for their relentless approach to excellence and success are currently seeking an experienced Workplace Health & Safety Manager with a passion for safety to join their team located in Melbourne CBD. Partnering closely with both the General Manager & the Human Resources Business Partner, you will play key role as a member of the senior leadership team. You will be seen as a trusted advisor providing strategic business partnering solutions while managing all aspects of the Workplace Health & Safety Manager function. You will consider yourself values driven, passionate, enjoy a challenge and an experienced Workplace Health & Safety Manager professional, who has considerable experience in developing and driving a safe workplace culture across an organisation.

Having previously worked in a similar Senior Workplace Health & Safety Manager position, you will be able to demonstrate your strong influencing skills and give examples of how you have achieved the following key deliverables:

  • Manage, lead, plan and drive a safe workplace culture
  • Effective business partnering with key stakeholders
  • Manage all workers compensation claims efficiently and effectively
  • Successfully facilitate the return to work of injured workers
  • Ensure OH&S compliance with the OH&S Act (Vic) 2004
  • Coach and mentor the management team and employee group in contemporary OH&S practices
  • Working collaboratively with broader HR function

You will be a highly visible and knowledgeable Workplace Health & Safety Manager professional and provide proactive leadership and coaching to your client group. To be successful in this opportunity you will require a high level of energy and drive. You will be capable of leveraging support from senior stakeholders and have a pragmatic approach to achieving organisational goals. You will be able to liaise with a group of peers nationally to ensure consistency of approach and delivery in a changing environment.

Degree qualified in Occupational Health & Safety and/or Work Health & Safety, your experience will have been gained in a similar Workplace Health & Safety Managers role.
