A leading government agency is seeking a skilled APS 5/6 HR Officer for a minimum 6 month non-ongoing term.

Your new company
You will have the opportunity to work alongside a leading government agency, versed in the development of urban planning and architectural works designed to appreciate Australian land.

Your new role
Your new role as HR Officer will have you assisting the Human Resources manager in day to day administrative HR functions, including but not limited to: liaising with internal and external clients, recruitment processing, organisation of learning and development, coordination of payroll variation and providing a high level of customer service. The ability to work cohesively in a fast paced environment in conjunction with effective time management is the key to success in this role.

What you'll need to succeed:

  1. Assist with HR projects, including researching legislation and government policy.
  2. Undertake staff inductions and coordinate new starter processes as required.
  3. Assist with the management of outsourced service provider arrangements including payroll, Employee Assistance Program and Rehabilitation Services.
  4. Assist with the provision of regular reports such as annual reporting, Board papers and Audit Committee papers as required.
  5. Manage status reports for HR, and for other reporting requirement as requested, such as staffing and establishment reporting, exit survey collation and organisational structure charts.
  6. Assist with HR spot check audits for leave and other HR functions as required.
  7. Undertake secretariat duties and arrange meetings for HR and the section as required.
  8. Provide effective day-to-day supervision of reception staff.
  9. Participate as a constructive member of the National Capital Authority and provide reasonable support with Branch functions as required.
  10. NV1 clearance or the ability to obtain.
  11. Australian citizenship status is a must to be eligible for this role.
