Your new role
As the APS5 Learning and Development officer, you will Administer logistics in support of program delivery, including:
Work independently regarding liaising with supplier, setting dates, booking rooms, setting up sessions

  • Managing enrolments, liaising with interstate colleagues and CSC, signing off attendees and collating evaluations. Work under direction about preparing statement of requirements/RFQ, selecting a supplier, drafting OFS/contracts
  • Manage development of DVA Induction program
  • Manage the Capability inbox and respond to general Capability queries
  • Administer the Study Assistance Scheme
  • Contribute new ideas and identifies opportunities to improve processes
  • Participate in team activities such as planning, setting priorities, knowledge sharing and team building
  • Assist in projects or working groups
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including colleagues, and keeps up to date with Learning & Development and other HR trends.
  • Other duties as required

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Proven experience as an L&D Officer
  • Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices
  • Experience in project management and budgeting
  • Proficient in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills; sharp business acumen
  • Ability to build rapport with employees and vendors
