High profile government department seeking experienced APS5 Recruitment Officer

Your new company
This purpose of this public sector entity is to drive accountability and transparency in the Australian Government sector through quality evidence based services and independent reporting to Parliament, the executive and the public. They are seeking an experienced APS5 Recruitment Officer to join their growing team.

Your new role
As an APS 5 Recruitment Officer in the Human Resources area of Corporate Management Group, under the broad guidance of the Director People Operations, you would:

  • Be responsible for ensuring business effectiveness and recruitment best practice process are followed;
  • Provide professional and technical advice to the service groups and other clients, on a range of recruitment matters;
  • Co-ordinate recruitment projects and on-going service delivery;
  • Review and streamline selection and recruitment documentation and procedures across the agency
  • Build relationships and foster a collaborative approach within the recruitment team, HR, and across all Service Groups;
  • Contribute to the achievement of corporate objectives; and
  • Undertake other HR activities/projects as directed.

What you'll need to succeed
Demonstrated practical recruitment experience, and a sound understanding of merit based and best practice recruitment in the APS context;
Contemporary skills and experience in recruitment services, particularly in attraction, selection and retention;
Proven capacity to establish positive relationships and collaborate across different business units and with stakeholders;

  • A successful record of quality in client service delivery;
  • Knowledge of and experience in the use of eRrecruit and Acendre
  • Well-developed communication skills with proven experience in:
  • Preparing succinct and cohesive written selection reports; and
  • Influencing, lateral thinking and the ability to anticipate the needs to stakeholders.
