Your new company

They are a people centric agency and this team is seeking an APS5 HR Advisor to join their vibrant, inclusive and hard working environment.

Your new role
The HR Advisor is accountable for providing advice on a range of complex matters in relation to employees pay, leave, allowances, superannuation, entitlements, and conditions of employment.
Key duties and capabilities The key duties of the positions include:

  • The management of sensitive and complex employee matters in relation to their pay, conditions, leave and entitlements, including individual flexibility agreements, SES determinations and the agency probation process
  • Managing the internal payroll function in support of the external payroll provider.
  • Undertaking projects relating to pay and conditions, including managing performance and Enterprise Agreement increases, outcomes from organisational restructures and process improvement initiatives
  • Providing accurate advice on employment matters in line with relevant legislation
  • Highly developed organisation skills including the ability to priorities and collaborate with others to achieve deadlines
  • Undertaking research and analysis of employment conditions

What you'll need to succeed
The position requires an experienced individual, who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail.

  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills to produce advice, policies and strategies that meet the needs of the agency.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels to work collaboratively, without exception, with peers and other employees to achieve sustainable and long-lasting outcomes
  • Experience using MS Excel and SAP payroll system or similar is highly desirable.
To be eligible for employment within the Federal Government applicants must be Australian Citizen and either hold or be willing to obtain a baseline clearance.

This role is located in a central location, however there is capacity for working from home, and flexible work life balance. The team within this HR space is vibrant, fast paced and will require someone to come in and hit the ground running.
