Exciting new opportunity for an APS6 HR Case Manager, in a highly regarded large Department.

Your new company
An exciting opportunity has become available to join this large Federal Government Department in their well-established Workplace Behaviours and Performance team.

Your new role
Your new role as an APS6 HR Case Manager will see you operate with limited direction. This role includes case management of matters relating to performance management, underperformance, investigation of alleged breaches of the code of conduct, bullying and harassment, workplace conflict/dispute resolution, reviews of action, and Public Interest Disclosures.

You will require proven research, analytical and conceptual skills to resolve a range of complex HR and people management issues. In addition to an ability to quickly obtain knowledge of the department's HR policies and procedures, an APS6 HR Case Manager you will need experience with, or knowledge of the following:

  • Delivering tailored advice, support, and guidance to managers and employees across multiple levels in issues of performance, behaviour, and workplace conflict
  • Manage complaints and undertaking preliminary investigations into allegations
  • Undertaking or managing review of action and decisions
  • Prepare reports and briefs regarding matters relating to performance, behaviour, and workplace conflict

What you'll need to succeed

  • Demonstrated experience in HR within a corporate environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to support, guide and advice managers on related matters
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and problem solving through difficult cases
  • Understanding of employment legislation and frameworks
  • Experience in HR management processes (underperformance & code of conduct)
  • Cert IV in Government Investigations
