A high-profile agency seeking an Industrial Relations Advisor to join their People Service Branch.

Your new role
To succeed in this role, you will already have experience in HR with particular regard to Industrial Relations and have the ability to undertake work that is complex in nature, providing accurate and specialised advice to a range of stakeholders. The key responsibilities of your role with include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing advice and guidance for complex enquires on industrial relations and employment matters
  • Apply contemporary knowledge to legislation, policy and procedures
  • Prepare sensitive and complex correspondence to external stakeholders
  • Provide training/deliver information sessions on legislative changes, policy or guideline updates as required.
  • Support and provide secretariat duties as required

What you'll need to succeed
Your expertise in Industrial Relation functions and knowledge around developing policy in the APS employment framework will lead to your success. In addition to the following:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to articulate policies and procedures clearly
  • Ability to resolve complex HR enquires and provide high level advise to a range of stakeholders
  • Coordinate and undertake detailed or sensitive project that impact strategic outcomes for the department
  • Take accountability to achieve outcomes and improve work
  • High level integrity, collaboration and innovation with excellent judgement and resilience
