A leading government agency invested in the integrity of government voting processes is seeking an experienced APS6 Senior HR Advisor (Onboarding) for a 6 month term. Possible extension options for skilled candidates.

Your new role
As the APS6 Senior HR Advisor (Onboarding) you will have expertise within recruitment processes specifically onboarding. You will be an exceptional generalist with the ability to work alongside internal and external stakeholders and provide advisory services when needed. You will also be contributing to strategic planning for longer term initiatives. The role is responsible for undertaking work that is moderately complex to complex and possibly sensitive in nature, under limited direction, utilising expertise and knowledge within the area of public service recruitment and service management.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Provide advice, guidance and assistance of complex and possibility sensitive in nature, on all aspects of recruitment, onboarding and movement matters and ensure compliance with various acts.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of recruitment arrangements that are or could be accessed by the agency, including, delivery of recruitment related training and templates for the agency's use.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform the management, preparation and coordination of recruitment strategy, policy formulation and/or project management, including ensuring effective implementation policy formulation and/or project management.
  • May be required to supervise a team to ensure high quality outputs, including the development of team members at lower classifications, building team capacity and encouraging career development.
  • Develop and support key internal and external relationships, including managing stakeholders to achieve work area and agency goals. In addition, represent the agency by promoting its interests in various forums.
  • Provide accurate specialist advice, guidance and reporting on team functional responsibilities.
  • Communicate and make decisions using good judgement, expertise and knowledge, governed by legislation, regulations, best practice principles or relevant operating instructions and procedures.
  • Contribute to doctrine, election preparation and delivery activities in accordance with the election readiness framework, according to individual accountabilities and responsibilities.
  • Perform additional duties or assume responsibility of functions as directed by the Management from time to time.
