Contribute to the delivery of high-quality training, development and education within a Government agency.

Your new company
This Government Agency's purpose is to maintain an impartial and independent electoral system for eligible voters through active electoral roll management, efficient delivery of polling services, and targeted education and public awareness programs.

Your new role
The role is situated within the National Training and Education Unit and is responsible for supporting in the design and development of learning and development programs and products, and participates in strategic planning for both short term tasks and longer tern initiatives within the unit.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the coordination, design, development, implementation, facilitation, resourcing and maintenance of the training, education and development programs across the agency ensuring all staff have access to mandatory training and development opportunities
  • Conduct analysis into the training and development needs of staff, at all levels, across the agency
  • Advise stakeholders on the availability of training and development programs, related policies and organisational curriculum including training and development pathways for specific roles and career progression
  • Compile and analyse training and development statistics and records including program evaluations and assessments producing reports for senior management on the effectiveness of the programs
  • Provide analysis on complex issues and contribute to the management, preparation and coordination of policy formulation and/or project management
  • Develop and support key internal and external relationships, including managing stakeholders to achieve work area and agency goals
  • Provide accurate specialist advice, guidance and reporting on team functional responsibilities
  • May be required to supervise a team to ensure high quality outputs, including development of team members at lower classifications, building team capacity and encouraging career development.

What you'll need to succeed
To be the successful candidate in this role you will possess the following:

  • Ability to assist in the monitoring and evaluation of learning and development products and programs
  • Demonstrated ability to write effective copy, instructional texts and scripts
  • Sound knowledge and experience in the coordination of training and development programs
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in conducting training and development needs analysis within a large organisation
  • Knowledge and experience in successfully setting priorities and delivering quality results on time and on budget
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively whilst anticipating stakeholder needs and expectations
  • Proven analytical abilities with the ability to propose and facilitate change and contribute to business improvement strategies
  • Demonstrated personal integrity whilst achieving results within legislative and policy parameters
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in human resources, education, learning and development or a similar field and/or relevant experience would be highly desirable.
