Your new role

The newly created Director, Leadership, Culture and Capability position within Charles Sturt's Division of People and Culture will play a lead role in delivering on the university's strategic vision to be Australia's leading regional university, advancing the careers of students, inspiring research excellence and driving regional outcomes. This position reports to: Executive Director, People and Culture with three direct reports and a team of 11. You will have three key areas of responsibility:

1. Organisational Development: Focus on a wide range of projects and initiatives to support the organisation with leadership capability and talent.

2. Talent Acquisition: You'll have a key focus on developing attraction and retention strategies.

3. Remuneration and Performance: Recently created to focus on developing and improving attraction, reward, remuneration and recognition frameworks.

What you'll need to succeed

We are seeking a strong HR leader with an organisational development background. In addition:

1. Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the division to drive cultural change and develop agile new ways of working to support staff through innovation and change initiatives.

2. Remuneration and Performance: Desirable to have experience overseeing a remuneration and reward function strategy.

3. Talent Acquisition: Experience overseeing strategic initiatives to attract and retain talent to align with strategic workforce requirements.

4. Organisational Development: The successful candidate will have experience of the implementation of the initiatives to improve capability, performance, and engagement.
