My client is a large and widely respected academic institution.  The organisation has seen huge challenges and change over the past couple of years but it is emerging from the 'covid era' with fresh determination and renewed purpose.  The HR model as a whole is going through a large and positive change and the diversity of its employee base remains one of it's priorities.

Working within a team of three D&I specialists, the role is very much 'big picture' - with a 'distributed model' meaning that responsibility for D&I sits in many areas of the organisation but this role (and team) coordinates, influences and creates programs and processes.  Key internal colleagues include other HR specialists, for example, the OD team creates leadership programs but this role would look at the D&I content within the program.  Probably the most important 'touchpoints' in the organisation are the nine Inclusion Committees, who ensure that initiatives are implemented consistently throughout the organisation.

Actual responsibilities include 

- analysing and presenting data to support informed decisions
- supporting and empowering networks and individuals 
- development and implementation of D&I initiatives
- complying with EEO and WHS regulations
- measuring outcomes against objectives
- representing the D&I team at internal and external events / forums

To secure this role you will be a D&I professional with experience of overseeing organisation-wide D&I initiatives.  Ideally you will have had exposure to a large and complex organisation.
