Your new role
As a Diversity Recruitment Coordinator, you will report to the HR Manager and be responsible for:
- Attracting and recruiting staff from diverse cultural and ethical backgrounds and other minorities
- Building relationships with the wider community and attending public events to create connections and build a positive reputation
- Developing and implementing strategies, policies, and initiatives that foster reconciliation, diversity, and inclusion
- Providing advice and support on matters related to reconciliation, diversity, and inclusion, such as cultural awareness, anti-discrimination, and harassment prevention
- Organising and facilitating training, workshops, and events that promote reconciliation, diversity, and inclusion
What you'll need to succeed
Being passionate about promoting reconciliation, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace and really caring about helping people will lead you to success, as well as:
- A relevant qualification in human resources, or a related field
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the history, culture, and aspirations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in developing and delivering reconciliation, diversity, and inclusion programs and initiatives in the blue-collar sector
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
- A strong commitment to the values and vision of reconciliation, diversity, and inclusion
