Your new company
You will be working for one of the world's leading family-owned pharmaceutical companies, who are currently looking to add an EHS Specialist to their team in Sydney on a permanent basis.

Your new role
The Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHS&S) Specialist is responsible for driving the EHS&S key processes and governance with BI standards, procedures, and guidelines within the Regional Operating Unit. Also, you are expected to handle facility management tasks.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting, coordinating, and ensuring the establishment, maintenance, management, continuous improvement, and execution of EHS programs.
  • Ensuring regional alignment on EHS&S topics in the region.
  • Monitoring progress and ensuring appropriate communication between the sites, the region, and corporate on EHS&S topics.
  • Ensuring that the EHS management systems and programs are established, documented, implemented, maintained, and continually improved.
  • Collaboration in developing and implementing corporate policies, principles, strategies, procedures, and guidelines in the field of EHS&S as well as coordination of rollouts of EHS-related issues.
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with company safety and environmental guidelines and legal legislation.
  • Supporting facility management and reception relief.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Tertiary qualifications relating to Workplace Health and Safety
  • Minimum 2 years' experience within a hands-on safety role
  • Demonstrated management of safety and environmental topics
  • Knowledge and experience of safety and environmental standards and legislation
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management
