EL1 Snr HR Advisor - Contract

Your new company

Federal Government agency are seeking a Snr HR Advisor who holds APS experience.

Your new role

  • Provide high-quality specialist advice and support to all-staff on HR matters and manage escalated complex HR and WHS enquiries
  • Support managers with staffing matters such as workforce planning and capability, performance management, absence management and grievances.
  • Prepare a range of high-quality written materials including briefs, correspondence, staff communications and agenda papers.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform the delivery of best-practice HR solutions and develop and implement innovative HR projects that address workforce issues and improve services.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of operational HR functions, including of HR processes, policies and systems, and project managing the implementation of improved solutions and HR initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Excellent working knowledge of contemporary HR management practices and employment framework. A strong understanding of the APS employment framework is highly desirable.
  • High-level writing skills and a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A demonstrated ability to deal professionally with stakeholders, including staff across a range of levels, and exercise discretion and confidentiality
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with, and build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders, internally and externally, at all levels.
