Your new role
As the Employee Wellbeing and Rehabilitation Manager you'll be responsible for the development and delivery of the employee wellness programs as well as managing the compensation, RTW and rehabilitation programs. You'll report directly to the Executive Manager- Development, People and Culture and work directly with the organisations WHS Manager. This is a fun and engaging role working within an established structure with award winning programs and recognised practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure prompt notification and escalation of new incidents of employee injury and/or illness, report on existing cases, coordinate the return-to-work meetings and ensure accurate documentation and assignment of actions with set times frames
  • Assess employee's rehabilitation needs and identify the most appropriate rehabilitation facilities and services in a timely manner.
  • Establish early return to work goals, objectives and programs/plans in consultation with injured employees, their representatives, treating practitioners and the employee's manager.
  • Develop, implement and monitor suitable duties programs including the development of Return-to-Work Plans and the maintenance of a Suitable Duties and non-work-related illness/injury registers.
  • Research work injuries, treatment profiles and recovery rates to plan case management strategies and progress return to work objectives with injured employees and their medical rehabilitation providers including case review.
  • Development and implementation of the organisation's wellness program.
 
What you'll need to succeed

You'll be a team player, have a collaborative approach and communicate with influence. You'll be proactive and lead from the front with your work. Experienced in program delivery and engaging teams through embedding a positive culture of achievement in a values-based organisation.

Essential Requirements

  • Full work rights in Australia
  • Current full driver's license
  • Medical or Allied Health qualification and registration with relevant authority or board (AHPRA or ESSA)
  • Solid experience in coordinating all aspects of injury management and workplace rehabilitation, retraining, claims management and return to work coordination.
  • Comprehensive and practical understanding of Workers Compensation legislation, principles and contemporary injury management practices

Desirable Skills

  • Tertiary qualification in injury and case management or equivalent professional experience
  • Understanding of the Aged Care industry
  • Current or the ability to obtain a WWVP card
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication
