Permanent HR & Administration Manager | Mining Industry | Generous salary package based on experience.

Your new company
This role is within the resources industry in North-West Queensland. This opportunity will entail Fly In Fly Out work to the main base of operations on a 7 days on, 7 days off roster.

Your new role
Your new role is unique with diverse responsibilities managing the Human Resources and Administration function on site. Your primary focus will be to manage the human resources function of the mine in accordance with head office policy and instructions. You will conduct performance management and performance reviews, and be the first point of contact for all mine staff in relation to Employment and Payroll matters. Over and above the requirements of HR, you will also oversee the following:

  • Payroll: Ensuring that time sheets are checked for accuracy and processed in a accurate and timely manner. You will hold departments accountable for rosters, ensure the maintenance for the site attendance register, and ensure employee contracts comply with company policies.
  • Finance: Assist in preparations of annual budgets and monthly forecasts for your area
  • Camp Supervision: Supervise the operational staff of the camp, including overseeing allocation of rooms, supplies, services, and cost budget.
  • General and Administrative: Manage administrative staff, assist with daily and monthly reports as required, and liaise closely with head office to report on needs.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed you will have a tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or significant equivalent professional development. You will need to be able to demonstrated understanding of finance functions as they relate to Human Resources and be able to work with the Finance Manager as a partner. You will have practical experience in a senior human resources management role and be able to work independently to meet target and deadlines. Strong communication skills is a must, with the ability to adapt communication styles to your audience and relate to a diverse range of stakeholders.

This role is Fly In Fly out from Brisbane or Townsville ideally. You must be located in Queensland currently or in the process of relocating to be considered.
