About the organisation:

This organisation employs in excess of 300 staff and its workforce is comprised of a diverse range of professional, operational and volunteer staff. A vacancy has arisen commencing in a few weeks with a potential handover. The role will report to a business leader and will work closely with members of the executive team to maintain the operational aspects of the HR function as well as participating in a range of value-adding projects.

About you:

  • The role will see you undertake a range of generalist HR duties including:
  • Managing the performance review process
  • Managing inductions, coaching, counselling and investigations
  • Provide advice to business leaders in all HR matters including IR, ER and legislative requirements
  • Prepare employment contracts and management of staff files/systems
  • Management of recruitment and selection processes
  • Ensure compliance with business processes and systems
  • Harness the HRIS to assist in achieving greater business efficiency
  • Manage WH& S programs, risk mitigation and return to work processes
  • Compile a range of HR management reports and roll out to business
  • Other Ad hoc HR projects and duties

About you:

You will work closely with the leadership team to develop and implement people strategies. You will have a confident consultative style, outstanding relationship-building skills and a team orientated approach. You will have the ability to manage multiple tasks and complete duties in a time-sensitive environment.

As a generalist you will have the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects as they arise, you will have the ability to adjust your priorities in a changing environment. Your 5 + years HR experience will provide you with the background and experience to pre-empt issues and work proactively to manage the HR function. Tertiary qualifications are essential, Rehabilitation / Return to work certification
would be advantageous.
