This leading global architecture organisation are seeking a HR Advisor for their stunning North Sydney office.

Your new company
This organisation is a leading global architecture business with ANZ headquarters in North Sydney very close to public transport. A forward thinking working environment with a small HR department and rapid growth strategy across the organisation. The team are going through change and are looking for someone with a forward thinking attitude towards the challenges and opportunities in an evolving workplace.

Your new role
You will be working in a small sized HR team, supporting in all areas of generalist HR, including project work and recruitment processes. You will be expected to have generalist HR and HR systems experience.

You will be supporting the HR manager on the following areas:

  • Provide end to end recruitment and selection support, including creating new hire requisitions in Taleo, liaising with agencies, sourcing candidates, creating interview guides, preparation of employment contracts, and supporting work visa applications etc.
  • Develop and embed HR processes and initiatives
  • Support various HR projects and events including recruitment and onboarding experience, role descriptions, centralising our employee files, performance and development planning, and streamlining our learning and development processes
  • Provide first line HR and policy advice to employees and managers, and help resolve any questions or concerns
  • Develop employee presentations and communication material
  • Support our annual remuneration review and mandatory policy review process
  • Facilitate HR reporting, information preparation, exit interview and termination activities
  • Assist with a variety of HR-related tasks and other duties as needed


You will be expected to have experience in HR, working in a range of functions. This role will be a mixture of coordination and advisory. Additionally, you will need to be used to working with high volumes and tight deadlines. You will have a number of years' experience in a HR role, strong academics and a desire for progression.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a well rounded HR generalist with exposure to the areas stated above, with proven success in recruitment. You will have strong communication skills, and be agile to respond to a dynamic and unpredictable working environment. You will have the ability to deal with ambiguity and work in an agile, project delivery environment; previous experience in architecture; construction or professional services would be highly regarded. You will be able to work in an environment where HR processes and procedures are being consistently improved. You will have relevant local work experience providing you with an understanding of Australian employment law. You will also have experience working with a range of internal/external stakeholders.
