We are currently recruiting a permanent HR Business Partner for a well-known Not for Profit organisation located close to the Melbourne CBD, but working from home 70% of the time. As an experienced HR Generalist, you will play a key role within this business. You will be required to build strong relationships across the business. With a culture of engaged loyal employees and clients, this role will provide a challenge and yet a wonderful organisation to work for.

Reporting to the HR Manager, you will provide HR support to your client group and the executive teams, working with the business to achieve its corporate objectives. When we met the manager, she was very easy to connect to and she describes herself as a supportive manager.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Establishing sound relationships and engaging with key stakeholders within the business
  • The client group is across different sites in Victoria
  • Provide HR advice, direction and consultation to the business.
  • Partner with the team leaders and business leaders across all areas of HR including performance management, recruitment and retention, engagement and remuneration reviews
  • Employee Relations will be around 50% of this role
  • Participate and contribute as a change champion within the business in line with the business, growth and change strategies.

To be successful in this space, you will be warm, professional, and have lots of energy and can-do attitude to partner with the unions and internal stakeholders. You are the person who is not afraid to put new ideas on the table with flexibility in your approach.

Previous experience working within the Retail/health/construction/NFP/manufacturing will be highly regarded as will the ability to build trust, strong value based relationships with key stakeholders. This could be for a Senior HR Advisor or Junior Business partner who is looking for a step up with the industry experience as mentioned earlier.

People pride you on your strength in Employee Relations and case management. You had a similar position before and therefore have experience across all pillars of HR. With a proactive and autonomous approach, this will put you in good stead as will your ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organisation.
