Local Government organisation are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner for a 12 month contract

Your new company
This Human Resources Business Partner roles is working for a fast paced and dynamic Government Department based in Sydney CBD.

Your new role
You will be a seasoned HR professional with NSW Government exposure. You will possess high credibility levels with business managers with proven capacity to impact on behaviours and practices. Key Accountability's:

  • Provide operational HR support and advice to business leaders and staff across all aspects of the employee lifecycle. This includes, case management, people management, staff engagement, HR policy and procedures advice, industrial relations support, management, and manager and team capability development.
  • Partner with portfolio clients to, understand their business, support their strategic and operational goals, provide exceptional customer service in support of the organisation's people and culture goals, and deliver business line workforce performance in accordance with established objectives.
  • Manage the workforce and culture HR requirements of change activities.
  • Provide coaching and high level advice to business unit leaders to build HR capability and understanding and enhance and improve management of teams in line with agreed values and capabilities, this includes facilitating manager capability training as required.
  • Build effective business partnerships through outstanding customer engagement with both internal and external key stakeholders, including business leaders, the wider Workforce team.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a seasoned HR professional with high credibility levels with business managers and proven capacity to impact on behaviours and practices including:

  • Previous experience working as a HR Business Partner across the public sector
  • Proven ability to work with a business while maintaining consistency and integrity with corporate, legislative and government goals
  • Proven experience with case management
  • Proven ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, discretion and judgement while maintaining a strong customer service approach
  • Well-developed internal consulting skills with strong business acumen, well developed analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
